Work

Products, tools, and teaching I've built in 2025–26 — AI as a build partner, always shipped end to end.

Six things I've shipped in the last twelve months. Each one is live, in beta, or on a public store — not a mock, not a slide.

The pattern across all of them: I designed the thing, built it, and stayed on to support it. The tools that unlocked this pace — Claude Code, Cursor, and the current Swift/Next.js/Node ecosystems — are the same tools I'd bring to a team.

Products

VideoCue

Swift · SwiftUI · AVFoundation · macOS · Private beta

Cue-based video playback for live performance. Theater, music venues, installations, livestreams — anywhere a single operator needs precise, repeatable playback that still bends to the room. Cue-driven timeline, ten overlay layers, live camera channels, four-track audio mixing, multi-output, full export.

Task LMS

Next.js · TypeScript · Google Cloud Run · Live at task-lms.app

Full-stack learning platform I designed and built end to end. What started as a five-day proof of concept now runs live cohort courses, Microsoft 365 SSO, SCORM playback, per-course theming, and certificate issuance in production. Same codebase runs both in the cloud and behind a corporate firewall.

TaskQueue

Swift · iOS / macOS · On the App Store

Single-threaded productivity app. One task at a time. Built to demonstrate product thinking around a real constraint: attention. Available on the App Store.

Second Guess

Node · WebSockets · live multiplayer · Play at questions.chrisabass.com

Family-Feud-style survey game, rebuilt from scratch for live web play. Started as a corporate team-building build; the public version at questions.chrisabass.com runs the same engine on public survey data. Host controls, buzz-in, scoring, and reveal — all real-time across rooms.

Tools & Teaching

VO Improv Generator

Web · Free — live now

Bold-choice practice tool for voice actors. Rolls a random character and a random line, cold. Read it, in character, on your first instinct. The tool that anchors the Say Yes First class — and works on its own for anyone drilling character reads.

Say Yes First

Live four-week class · delivered on Task LMS

Character Creation for Voice Actors. Improv training aimed straight at the booth: commit to an instinct, build a specific and directable character, book the job. Runs on the Task LMS platform, so the class is also a live demo of it.
